CHRONIC DISORGANIZATION (CD) AND HOARDING ISSUES PREPARE TO BE MOVED™ by our Fresh Ideas
National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD)
The NSGCD was formed to offer continuing educational classes for Professional Organizers. NSGCD provides certificates of study in various aspects of dealing with chronically disorganized clients. In October of 2004, NSGCD began accepting applications from related professionals in select fields. These currently include Psychologists, Psychiatrists & Social Workers.
The cross-filed study in chronic disorganization allows us to improve our understanding of CD. It will also increase the assistance that each professional can give to the cd client within the scope of their own discipline. Currently, Jody Wallace has completed the educational requirements to earn Certificates of Study in Chronic Disorganization, Understanding the Needs of Elderly CD Clients and Basic Hoarding Issues.
In addition to the basic certification in Chronic Disorganization, certificates can also be earned in the following categories:
- Working with CD clients who have ADD
- Working with CD clients who are physically challenged
- Working with CD clients who require different learning styles (example: auditory learners)
- Working with CD clients who have mental health conditions and challenges
- Understanding the needs of the elderly CD clients and their families
- Working in CD client administration
